Price FAQs

What is the price of CreativEase? Please see the summary at left. Note we offer a money-saving ULTRA Bundle -- our best deal if you do not already have our SpiceMASTER 2.5 plug-in. To convert to a different currency, such as euros, go here.

Can I install one CreativEase purchase on both of my computers, such as my editing machine at work and my laptop? Yes. A single CreativEase license can be legally used in two computers by you -- as long as they are not used at the same time to edit or output. If you do use two editing stations simultaneously, note that you can buy a second license for a substantial discount -- HALF-PRICE! -- on our order form.

If I buy one or two Packs now, but later want ALL Packs (or a Bundle), how much will I have to pay to upgrade? If you upgrade within 7 days of your original purchase, it is just the difference in cost. After 7 days, the cost is slightly more, but still a good deal. For more info, see our

I edit in two programs (i.e., Premiere Pro AND Vegas, or Premiere Pro AND After Effects, etc.). Do I need to buy two versions of CreativEase?
Yes, if you want it in BOTH programs. (EXCEPTIONS: The following sets of versions are identical: A. Sony Vegas and Vegas Movie Studio 6, B. After Effects and AE-plug-in compatibles such as Boris RED, C. Ulead VideoStudio and MediaStudio.) The good news is that to buy an additional version (after the first one) is HALF-PRICE.

If I switch video editing systems someday (such as from Vegas to Avid), will I need to re-purchase CreativEase at full price? At a substantial discount , any registered CreativEase user can add an equivalent set of CreativEase plug-ins for a different video editing program. To do this, use our
upgrade page.

I own other Pixelan products, such as SpiceMASTER or SpiceFILTERs. Do I get a special price? Please see our upgrade page. We do like to give the best possible prices to our existing users.

Are special prices available for multiple-station purchases? Yes. Each extra station will be HALF-PRICE after the first regular-priced set. For two or three station purchases, use our online order form. For more than three editing stations in the same facility/site/district, such as multiple-user video labs in schools, please email us explaining how many stations are involved. We will then respond with a discounted special quote.

o you offer educational pricing for individual users? Yes, 10% off for single-users, but not combinable with other discounts from us. Simply enter the words "educational user" in the Special Instructions box of our online order form. And provide proof of current status, such as a school ID imagescanned and email-attached to us.

Is CreativEase for sale elsewhere? Yes, at authorized video resellers such as Toolfarm and Safe Harbor -- although only the $129 ALL Packs and the ULTRA Bundle, not individual Packs. When purchased elsewhere it still is a download and at identical pricing as our web site. However, if you enjoy an existing relationship with such resellers, go ahead and buy CreativEase from them.

What is your policy on minor updates? Minor updates are always free.

Order Processing FAQs
Is CreativEase a download? Yes. Downloads are common now for plug-ins, and saves you shipping costs/delays. Our CreativEase download is a single 6 MB file (no matter how many Packs you purchase) that you can easily burn onto a CD or other backup media as desired. The ULTRA bundle is 24 MB. If you have cable/broadband/DSL, such downloads typically will take less than one minute. Via a 56K modem, the ULTRA bundle download would typically require about 3-4 hours.

How long does your order processing take? Online processing of your purchase may require 24 hours before you receive your download info, although usually it is much sooner -- within an hour or two. This timing is because we use real people, not automated Internet processing -- to provide better service to you. We can then respond to requests, questions, or possible misunderstandings. The process takes a little longer, but is to your benefit.

What's happens if later my computer crashes and I lose my serial # info and/or download? Email us (include your full name, email address you ordered with, and which product you purchased) and we will happily re-email it to you. But we also highly recommend you be extra safe and PRINT your email from us and BACK-UP your download.

What is Pixelan's privacy policy with my order info? No customer info is ever shared with anyone else, period. Please see our privacy policy for details.

I ordered online but did not receive email confirmation. Why? After submitting your online order, you should receive an immediate brief email confirmation that it has been received. Within 24 hours (but usually much sooner), a separate email confirming your processed order that includes your download info will be sent to you. If you do not receive either email, please email us directly. Typically, the problem is an incorrect email address entered on the order form, or your spam filter somehow believes our confirmation email is spam.

Can I get a hard-copy receipt of my order?
Your download info email can serve as a detailed, dated, printable receipt suitable for most purposes (taxes, etc.). If you still desire a separate receipt/invoice, please email us or mention it in the Special Instructions box of our order form. We will then email to you an Acrobat PDF invoice on our letterhead that you can print.

I feel uncomfortable purchasing on the Internet. Can I buy by telephone?
Yes. Please call us at 360-647-0112 on Monday - Thursday (excluding US holidays) between 10- 3 PM PST. Other times, leave a voicemail message and we will promptly call back on the same day or next business day. When ordering by phone, we will still need your email address to send the download info and serial # for the purchase.

Do you have a toll-free number for ordering?
No, sorry. But you can call us at 360-647-0112 x1 anytime and leave a brief voicemail message with our sales staff, which we will promptly return.


I don't trust the internet -- can I mail my order to you? Yes. Please complete our online order form for CreativEase, but instead of clicking the "Submit" button at the bottom, just PRINT the form using your web browser. Then mail (see address below) the printed form to us. Educational, non-profit, or government organizations: please include our printed order form with your purchase order.

I want to buy, but am overseas and without a credit card. What can I do? One option is to pay by bank wire transfer. Email us for wire instructions. Our bank charges us $20 for incoming wires, so that fee will be added to your price. Another option is to pay using (with permission) the credit card of a family member or friend. To do that, in the Special Instructions box of our order form you MUST enter ALL of the following: the cardholder's full name, their relationship to you (such as relative or friend), their phone number, and their email address -- so we can optionally verify their permission.

Can I pay with a check or money order instead of a credit card? Yes. See the above answer. Attach a check (cashier's check is preferred for fastest processing) in US$ payable to Pixelan Software. (For overseas orders, an International Money Order in US$ payable to Pixelan Software is required.) Then mail the form and payment to Pixelan Software, 4107 Harrison Street, Bellingham, WA 98229 USA. If a limited-time deal expires before your mail reaches us, we will honor the price if your mail is postmarked within the time.

Can I order with a debit card instead of a credit card? Yes, no problem. Either type of card from VISA, MasterCard or American Express is fine.

What is Pixelan's return policy for CreativEase? If you are unsure about buying CreativEase, please download and try the DEMO first before buying. The demo is easy to install, fully-functional, and will not interfere in any way later with the purchased version. If later you are unhappy with your purchase, we will do our best to resolve it to your satisfaction, especially if you describe to us SPECIFICALLY WHY you are dissatisfied. Ensuring ALL of our users (and even the rare former user) are happy is our goal.

How do I become a registered user? If you purchased direct from Pixelan, you are already registered. There is nothing you need to do. If you purchased from a reseller or received your plug-ins bundled with another company's product, then please visit here.
