Create custom PIP (picture-in-picture) transitions, choosing the shape, style, location, timing, etc. you desire. This Wizard enables you to fly your video clip (or still-image clip) over the background provided by another overlapping clip in your Movie Maker timeline. It will hold the PIP image in any position/size you choose for most of the transition's duration, then quickly zoom the image to full-size to become the new scene. Many different edge/border treatments are possible, plus realistic shadows and glows for an illusion of depth. This Wizard is a great complement to our PipFX Transitions Pack T2 of 54 pre-made picture-in-picture effects.

6 Easy Steps to Using PerfectPIP PRO

After you re-start Movie Maker, your custom PerfectPIP PRO transition(s) will appear in Movie Maker’s Transitions list (at the TOP of the list) as "PerfectPIP 01" "PerfectPIP 02" etc., ready to be dragged between any two overlapping video clips or still-image clips in the Movie Maker timeline like a standard transition. The first clip of the two overlapping clips will be the background, and the second clip will become the PIP flying above the background. Note you can create a fresh set of custom PerfectPIP PRO transitions for each new project. Older projects will still retain their earlier set. Cool!

Features Common to All Wizards

Wizards 5.0 is a separate program from Movie Maker. Access it by double-clicking the Wizards icon on your desktop (installed by our demo or purchased version). Or choose it in your Start > Program Files > Pixelan menu. Note you can keep the Wizards open while working in Movie Maker for reference or quick adjustments. Below are additional features in all Wizards.



What's New in 5.0

Precision. Right-click the right window to numerically enter the position/size of the PIP. Now it's a snap to match PIP positions in adjacent Movie Maker clips.
Longer previewing. Longer Wizard previewing (up to 30 seconds) is now possible to better simulate your long PIP clips.
Built-in Help panel. Key steps and tips are integrated into the interface for easy reference. Turn on or off the Help window as desired.

SUPERB Creative Control -- Just a Few Easy Clicks!

Below is an overview of SOME of what is creatively possible with the PerfectPIP PRO Wizard for Windows Movie Maker. Keep in mind that all of these options/choices SYNERGIZE to give you virtually an infinite amount of picture-in-picture looks -- all possible with just a few clicks! • Wide Variety of PIP Shapes. PIPs can be other shapes other than the usual rectangle. Use the shape to provide symbolism related to the content or just for additional visual variety. Any Shape is positionable and resizable -- just drag the center of the PIP in the PerfectPIP preview to position the PIP anywhere in the scene, and drag the edge of the PIP to resize the PIP large or smaller. Simple!

• Soft PIP Edges. PIPs also do not have to have the typical hard-edge. Instead use the Softness button to create a highly desirable 'seamless' look between forground and background clips. Six levels of softness are available. Examples are shown below for an oval PIP shape.

• Attractive Styles. For any shape or position of the PIP, with a single click you can choose from a variety of different looks via the Styles button. Examples are shown below. Such styles can help to "pop" your PIP from the background image, giving a more three-dimensional look.

• Click to Set Fly In/Out Behavior. Use the From button to easily choose where the PIP flies from. Frame edges and corners are available, plus zooming in from the center of the scene or from the center of wherever you place the PIP. Easy!

• Unlimited Border and Style Colors. Click the small triangle in the Border or Style button's lower corner for a color picker to set the border or shadow/glow color as desired, such as to match or complement colors in your clip.
