Demo FAQs

How is the DEMO different than the purchased version?

The demo overlays an X on the plugin’s output. Upon purchasing, the X will disappear. There will be no need to re-apply FilmTouch in your project, saving you time.

Which video editing software is 3D Six-Pack available for?

• Adobe Premiere Pro/Elements version: Compatible with Windows versions of Premiere Pro CS4-CS6, or CC Creative Cloud versions and Premiere Elements 11 or later.

• Adobe After Effects version: Compatible with Windows versions of After Effects CS5 or later, and CC Creative Cloud versions.
• Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects version: Compatible with macOS (High Sierra and later) versions of Premiere Pro CC 2017 or later and After Effects CC 2017 or later.

• Vegas Pro/Vegas Movie Studio version: Compatible with Vegas Pro 11 or later (32-bit or 64-bit) and Vegas Movie Studio 11 or later.

• CyberLink PowerDirector version: Compatible with PowerDirector 12 or later, WINDOWS only.

• Magix Movie Edit Pro/Video Pro X version: Compatible with Movie Edit Pro 2013 or later and Video Pro X4 or later.

Does FilmTouch have special hardware requirements?

FilmTouch is a hardware-accelerated plugin which uses your computer's video/graphics chip to accelerate its rendering. Therefore, a DirectX 9 or OpenGL 2.1 compatible graphics card is required (almost any chip released in the last 10 years will work). A DirectX 10 or OpenGL 3.2 compatible card with at least 1GB video memory is recommended for HD and high bit-depth editing.

Is FilmTouch 2.0 only a download?

Yes, it is a single 20-50 MB download. You can even download it on a different computer, if necessary, then transfer the installer file with a USB key, CD-R, or other media onto your editing computer before installing.

How do I install the Demo?

(Windows): After saving the demo file to your hard drive, double-click it.
(macOS): The download is a .dmg file for macOS computers (High Sierra and later). Double-click the saved .dmg file to open it. Follow the ReadMe in the dmg file to complete the installation. After the installation is finished, you can eject the dmg.

How do I uninstall the Demo?

(Windows): Choose Uninstall Masters from your Start > All Programs > Pixelan > Masters folder. Or double-click Pixelan Masters in your Windows Programs and Features control panel.
(macOS): Start Uninstall or Add PlugIns from your Applications > Pixelan FX for Adobe folder.
