AnyFX FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

How many different effects are included in AnyFX? The numbers above are effect types, not presets. By modifying any effect parameter you actually have hundreds of different looks readily available!

The Player only shows still-images. Does AnyFX work on video? Yes. AnyFX can be applied to any still-image, animation, or video content in your Premiere or Vegas timeline, just like built-in transitions. And that is true with any output size Premiere or Vegas supports, such as DV, HD, 16:9 wide screen, HDV, etc.

How is the DEMO different than the purchased version? The demo operates for an unlimited time and is identical to the purchased version but shows an X over the transitions. Upon purchasing, the X (i.e. the demo) will be automatically removed.

Which host programs is AnyFX available for? Any version of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Premiere Elements, Sony Vegas and Sony Vegas Movie Studio -- running on Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. The Premiere version works in both Premiere Pro (any version, including CS4, CS5, and the new CS5.5) and Premiere Elements (any version). The Vegas version works in the full Vegas (any version, including 11, 32-bit or 64-bit) and Vegas Movie Studio (6.0 or later, including 11). Also, there is An AnyFX graphics edition for Photoshop/Photoshop Elements (any version), plus a separate Project Dogwaffle graphics version.

Is AnyFX a plug-in or an independent program? It is a plug-in that integrates fully into its host program (i.e. Premiere, Vegas, Photoshop, or Dogwaffle) and is applied just like built-in effects and transitions.

Is AnyFX only a download? Yes, which is common for software plug-ins now. It is a single 21-32 MB file. You can even download it on a different computer, if necessary, then transfer the downloaded file with a USB key, CD-R, or other media onto your editing computer before double-clicking the file to install.

Does AnyFX have special hardware requirements? Generally, any XP, Vista, or Windows 7 computer that you already use with your Premiere or Vegas software is fine. A DirectX 9 (or later) compatible graphic card is required, however. (Most computers in the last few years used for video editing already have that.)

What happens if someday my computer crashes and I lose the downloaded file or serial #? Use our re-download form to get a free re-download anytime. There is no risk! : )

Can I install on more than one computer of mine? Our license allows use in two different computers of the same user (such as a laptop "for the road" and a desktop at home) IF the two computers are not used AT THE SAME TIME to edit with our plug-in. If you do need two licenses to edit in two computers simultaneously, such as for a video production business, the second license is available for HALF-price on our order form. To get this special pricing, you MUST use this order form instead of our usual BUY link on these pages.

I want to buy AnyFX as a gift for someone else. How can I do that so they will receive the download info directly (and without the price showing)? It's easy -- use this order form. Note you can even enter a special birthday or holiday message that will be sent as part of their download info. And you can enter which day you want us to send the info.

Do you have educational pricing? We offer nice discounts on school site or lab licenses. If you have such a situation, please email us and mention how many editing stations you may want to purchase for.

Is AnyFX for sale elsewhere? It is only available direct from us.

What is Pixelan's return policy for AnyFX? If somehow you become unhappy with your purchase within 30 days, we will do our best to resolve it to your satisfaction, even though it is a download and thus there is nothing to 'return.' However, if you feel unsure BEFORE buying, we strongly encourage you to download and install the DEMO before buying. They are easy to install and will not interfere in any way later with the purchased version.
